The Cosmic Calendar was painted in 2012 alongside a commissioned eight-foot Mayan-inspired calendar created for the Iowa Metaphysical Fair.
While inspired by the fascination surrounding the ancient calendar traditions of Mesoamerica, this companion piece focuses less on predictions and more on the timeless relationship between humanity and the heavens.

The Story Behind the Artwork:
In 2012, I was commissioned to paint a large Mayan-inspired calendar for the Iowa Metaphysical Fair. Wanting to preserve the excitement and wonder surrounding that project, I created The Cosmic Calendar as a companion painting—a celebration of ancient symbolism, celestial mystery, and humanity's fascination with the stars.
