Display up to 3 pieces of original 2D art during the Season of Souls Celebration at Des Moines New Age Shop & Community Center.

Friday, Oct. 29 • 3–7 PM

Saturday, Oct. 30 • 10–7 PM

Sunday, Oct. 31 • 12–4 PM

$25 non-refundable hanging fee once accepted. Limited spaces; all artists/artwork subject to approval.

Accepted Art

• Up to 3 pieces; 16×20 max

• Originals preferred; quality prints welcome

• Artist’s own human-created work only

• No AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork

• 2D art only

• Must arrive ready to hang securely by hook on our grid displays

• Artwork may be for sale or display only

• Metaphysical, mystical, paranormal, spiritual, celestial, fantasy, gothic, ancestral, visionary and related themes welcome

Participating artists are automatically entered into the popular-vote contest for the Winter Edition cover of Alicia’s Desk Magazine.

Artist Responsibilities

Artists must provide their name/business name, phone, email, artwork photos, titles and prices, plus the names of anyone authorized to install or retrieve their work.

Artists are responsible for hanging their own work before opening, securing it properly, promoting their participation through their own channels, and retrieving all artwork after the show.

We promote the exhibition; artists promote their participation. Building the audience is a shared responsibility.

Artwork left after the designated pickup period without prior arrangements will be considered abandoned.

Sales

Sales are processed through Alicia’s Art/Des Moines New Age Shop and recorded. Card transactions have a 10% processing/handling fee.

With customer permission, we may photograph the sold artwork/tag with its buyer and collect the buyer’s email so the artist may personally thank them.

Event Rules

Be respectful to customers, artists, vendors, staff and the venue. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal without refund.

Zero tolerance for illegal drugs or substance use at our shop/events. Because attendees and staff may have severe sensitivities, no marijuana/cannabis smoke, vaping, strong residue, or exposure is permitted at the event, regardless of legal or medical status.

No open flames, burning incense, or unapproved liquid displays. Do not nail, screw, staple or pin anything into walls or floors.

Artists are responsible for their own artwork, property, insurance, licenses and legal compliance. Des Moines New Age Shop, event staff and the venue are not responsible for loss, theft or damage.

Events may be rescheduled or canceled due to venue issues, emergencies or circumstances beyond our control.
